About the Model :

This model of a Kawasaki 1000P motorcycle was originally designed by Anthony and Chris Els of South Africa and then drawn up as a CAD (computer aided design) exercise. The project was then uploaded onto Chris Bourne’s internet model library site, which has a growing listing of quality models which people are free to download the designs and build.

This model was originally posted as a CHiPs 1000p Motorcycle, made famous from the ’80,s TV series and was adorned with California Highway Police attatchments, which I was originally going to add to the model. When the model got close to completion, however, I liked the lines of the bare motorcycle and decided to leave the police gear off.

The Model is modular in construction, each section being built, then the whole sub assemblies are then joined to make the finished article.

A little tricky to build in some areas, but altogether the model went together well. It was a joy to build.
