Cage up
The 'Thingy-ma-jig' and the 'Bucket'
having been reset, the 'Diver' performs
a Back-Flip over the parallel bars
and lands on the 'See-saw'. This action
causes the 'Cage-Trap' to rise.
In the pic, note the pair of pawls
attached to the rod on the right.
When the cage reaches the top of its
travel, these pawls and connecting
rod are pushed up. This in turn actuates
a limit switch which stops the cage
motor.
Also note the rod with collar poking
up through the base plate underneath
the cage. This rod is depressed when
the cage descends and this operates
another limit switch which again stops
the cage motor.
This picture is actually a composite
of two different times because the
diver will have landed on the see-saw
long before the cage reaches the shown
position. I thought I would join the
two pictures for effect and clarity
but - can you see the join?
