A typical shouldered threaded insert is shown fitted to the upper re-inforcing strip but is not used in this case and the two "droop snoot" pivot bolts are fitted with lock nuts rather than using the special long Meccano abortion supplied. - Future pivoted bolts on my model aircraft will be fitted with M3 Nyloc nuts.
